Series III offers the most versatile cabinet lighting available, featuring an innovative solution for adding task or special effect lighting above counters, desktops, or other work surfaces. Install with direct wiring of individual fixtures or interconnect cable and wiring module to connect a series of fixtures.
Back of Wall mounting or Front-Mount design.
Hi-Low, On/Off switch.
Fixtures snap together or interconnect with cable.
Dimmable with use of electronic dimmer (not included).
We looked at many types of lighting. The LED lights were neat but most required installing a transformer. These lights were easy to install, and the high/low settings make them a good choice for mood lighting or to light up a work area. Delivery was prompt, and the return of one was easy to do.
Pluses: nicely sized models can fit under any cabinets--purchase the right lengths for you kitchen. Excelent quality. Accent or task lighting with Hi, Low, Off switches on each light. Mostly invisible once installed with clean, even light. Minuses: Installation not as easy as it might be. No fitting to connect from fixture to plug, so installation is for those comfortable with home wiring. Tips: Large, channel-lock pliers (with tape over jaws to protect fixtures) work as an efficient way to squeeze open the electrical box (instructions say just squeeze with hands--nope!) Measure 3 1/2 inches back from insde front of cabinet to mounting screw holes--more and the light is too near the wall; less and the glass will be hard to slide in and out. Plan on at least one inch of side clearance if not using the connectors--2+ inches if using them.
I LOVE my under the cabinet lighting. It has changed the whole look of the kitchen. I love the fact that it can be dimmed. Makes working at the counter a whole lot easier. Don't know how I survived in my kitchen for 30 yrs. with-out it. Very easy for my husband to install.
