Actually this was bought as a Christmas present. We had it delivered to our niece and she is overwhelmed with this product. Everything about it from the day it was ordered to the day of delivery was exceptional. She has and will continue to get more enjoyment out of this purchase for years to come.Read MoreYour Name
Nicely made. It's even on casters which makes it so easy to move. It came well packaged. Unfortunately, it just didn't look right where we had planned to place it. The return was an easy process.Read MoreJennifer B.
First and foremost, service was great, from both Topeka Innovative Concepts (atg stores), and the actual Amish builder of the cabinet. (Yes, we were able to speak with him.) I am running the unit as we speak. It does exactly what it says it will do, and looks great doing it. The piece is crafted ofRead MorePaul Folger
I love this heater. It is a small unit, which is what I wanted. The heater works well, remote is easy to use. I did have to play around to change the temperature setting. That has to be done on the heater, not the remote, but I know that now. I got the bigger heater as it says that you get twice as manyRead MoreCynthia C.

Topeka Innovative Concepts was started by Herman Miller in 2009. It is located in Topeka, in the Amish country of northern Indiana. When needed, Mr. Miller employs local craftsmen to make the surrounds, bases and mantles of an extensive line of electric fireplaces. But, on most orders, Miller himself crafts the item. All pieces are made to order, which is why we ask you to wait a week for your fireplace to be shipped.
Only U.S. grown premium hardwoods are used. Red Oak is finished with a medium oak stain. Quarter sawn white oak is finished with a slightly red stain to give the classic look of Mission or Arts & Crafts style of the early 20th century. Cherry wood is finished with a medium cherry stain, maple is stained with a rich "tobacco" color stain, and elm is also finished in a medium cherry stain.
There is no particleboard used in TIC products, and the only plywood used is the thin sheet on the back of the cabinets, where the use of true hardwoods is not possible because of the danger of chipping and cracking.
The fireplace "insert" is made in China, and is the latest, most efficient, most long lasting LED technology. The small remote control handles all functions – degree of heat, fan speed, side light operation. A panel above the "fire" shows the settings performed on the remote, then goes dark after a few seconds so you can enjoy the fire.
Most TIC fireplaces have hidden casters so the fireplace can be moved from room to room, and taken with you when you move. And no matter which model you purchase, the fireplace is a combination of old world Amish craftsmanship and state of the art LED technology. It is true furniture you'll be proud to own, that will last long enough to be passed on to your children.
