This rich Renaissance tapestry belongs to the range of tapestries called "Les Mois Lucas" (The Lucas' Months), named for the Flemish painter who created them. Symbolizing the month of October, a time of late harvest and the turning season, it is rife with rich colors and overflowing with fascinating detail. Woven in France on a jacquard loom, it accommodates an optional rod and finials or hangs easily on metal hangers in its lining.
