I purchased 2 lamps and the are nice for the small nightstands I have but the height of the 2 is off just a bit, one is a little taller than the other. One was damaged during shipment, No problems getting i replaced I just had to wait 3 weeks...
This is a gorgeous lamp - especially for the price. I needed a pair of lamps for a very mid-century modern kind of bedroom, and wow. This lamp got the job done. The ceramic is subtle, the shape of the shade is perfect. I shopped around for a long time, looked at the high-end stores all the way to Target. Looks, price, ease of purchase - this is the ONE!
I ordered a pair of lamps for my bedside tables. I am a little disappointed in the color, which appears more black than brown or bronze. The plastic gadgets that hold the shades in place seem a bit on the flimsy side. These lamps came with 23-Watt CFL bulbs, supposedly the equivalent of a 100-W incandescent bulb. My old bedside lamps had 3-speed bulbs, with the option of 100, 200, or 250 W light for reading, and I preferred the 250-W light for bedtime reading. But, as I have not seen table lamps on the market recently that can handle over 100 W--which is a bit dim with anything but a white shade--it seems I will have to settle for this. I had been looking in local stores and on the Internet, and the lamps I bought were the most attractive to my taste that I could find in my price range (under $100 each) in a market where I find very few at any price I would even consider.
