Awaited item''s arrival, but when it came...
By from South Bend, IN on Jun 06, 2015
What a disappointment! This decorative metal entry push panel looked spectacular on the website, but the item that arrived was a poorly done replication. I was so disappointed. The coloration was a cheap-looking gold-tone, the finish was gritty, and there was very little relief depth to the depicted images. Mistakenly, I thought an item described with the name Design Tuscano would be a great buy. I was wrong. I will return it.

You get what you pay for...

The original design is beautiful but the casting quality is way off. It is sand casted, which means that the detail isn't anywhere near as sharp as the photo indicates (I think they photographed the master and not the typical copy). It is fairly flat but not dead flat (but I don't anticipate any problems attaching it). Lastly it is quite a bit darker than the photo shows (this may be a good thing since you don't notice the loss of detail as much). Overall, if you are looking for a Victorian era push plate, this works and is very cheap. No screws are included... as I said, you get what you paid for.
