I purchased two of these lights to install for my 50 year old Chesapeake Bay dock renovation. Although the quality of the enclosure is very good, the internal electric components are nothing special. I have not yet installed these lights so I cannot verify that they are actually vapor tight. Usually, there is a gasket between the enclosure and the globe on vapor tight light fixtures. There is no such gasket on the fixtures I received. Although designated "vapor tight", I will be interested in observing whether or not the globes fog-up because of the lack of this sealing gasket. These lights are not designated "Explosion Proof". I would certainly NEVER use them in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
