Seattle Showhouse & Online Interior Design

Seattle Showhouse

The Seattle Showhouse has bid farewell its final visitors, but the event continues to resonate with designers and the community in conversations about the possibilities of online interior design.

A lot of terms are being used to describe this process, like “virtual design” and “remote design,” but it’s about much more than that – it’s an opportunity for people to explore interior design options in a convenient and affordable way.

Virtual Interior Design Explained

This is a big deal for, which is why we used the Seattle Showhouse as our way of announcing our new virtual interior design capability.

Through partnership with online interior designers at Decorist and installation professionals at Porch, we can now offer interior design from concept to completion using products and services you can find all in one place on our website.

The goal is to make it possible for anyone, anywhere to find everything they need to restyle a room, an entire home or even a commercial space.

The Virtual Interior Design Process

There are a lot of different ways to explore these options, but here’s a step-by-step summary:

1. Browse products to find a look you like.

2. Use Decorist interior design services to have a design pro give you personalized advice based on your favored products, home description and any images you provide.

3. Select the items you like and use Porch installation services to have them professionally assembled and installed according to the Decorist design.

Though, you may enjoy using a different approach.

Virtual Interior Design Options

The above represents the most robust experience, but is still a place where you can find high-quality items to use in your own way, or use DIY ideas from the Learning Lounge instead of our other services.

Or, you can combine a product selection with Porch installation and leave out the interior design element ... or you can get great interior design advice and just go from there.

It’s all up to you. Take a closer look at the Seattle Showhouse and see how we can help you design the home of your dreams.

The “Orlenda” mango-wood table lamp by Arteriors Home helps bring a warm, natural feel to the showhouse living room update.

The Sunpan Imports “Morrissey” bookshelf in a driftwood finish livens up the living room's fireplace wall with added storage in a mod design.
