Meet Our Seattle Showhouse Designers (Part I)

Seattle Showhouse

The Seattle Showhouse – a beautiful product of collaborative online interior design work by, and – is set to open Jan. 28, 2016, in Seattle’s beautiful Queen Anne neighborhood, and we wanted to give you a sneak peek!

But, we can’t, because it’s not open yet. It’s all very hush-hush, save to say that the entire project was executed online, and the designers didn’t visit the home until it was time to install the products, paints and décor they selected based on the owners’ virtual input.

There are some things we can share, though, like the names of the designers and their strategies when approaching this project.

Alexa Hampton, Spokesperson & Design Consultant: Master Bedroom

Alexa Hampton is an internationally recognized designer, whose work is admired around the world, and she was kind enough to bring her talent to this project in the master bedroom.

In this space, Alexa harnessed her passion for art to create striking pops of color in an otherwise neutral palette.

Ashley Redmond, Decorist Head of Design: Kitchen

As’s Head of Design, Ashley Redmond brings a lifetime of design experience to the project, having grown up in the furniture business.

Her work in the kitchen is an exercise in juxtaposing a glam feel and finish with natural, earthy textures to create a modern space with a warm, almost rustic feel.

Brian Paquette, Decorist Celebrity Designer: Living/Dining Room

Although Brian grew up in New England, he makes his home in Seattle and his travels here, there and everywhere in between have provided him with an endless wellspring of design inspiration.

Here, he allows those experiences to inspire his transformation of the showhouse living room into a personal, cozy space that still fits the modern mood of the home.

Massucco Warner Miller, Decorist Celebrity Designer: Family Room

Massucco Warner Miller (MWM) is an elegant fusion of design brilliance between founders Julie Massucco Kleiner and Melissa Warner Rothblum. Their work spans the continent and has filled the pages of some of most respected design books and magazines.

In the family room, MWM used textured layers of all kinds to soften stark architectural angles and give the space a warm and inviting feel.

Tune in tomorrow for an introduction to our next four designers and another look at some Seattle Showhouse treasures.

Brian Paquette's eye for cozy modern is echoed in his choice of the "Vlod" lounge chair by Fine Mod Imports for the Seattle Showhouse living room.

True Modern's "Dane" sofa comes in six upholstery options that can complement a range of palettes.
