This Kichler Lighting pendant light has a brushed nickel finish. For use with one 60-watt frosted incandescent bulb.
The Galaxie Collection combines a futuristic look with modern appeal to create a collection that is completely out of this world! These stem-mounted fixtures are highlighted by ½" thick saucers of clear glass. If you're looking for a fixture that combines basic form with ultramodern design, this Galaxie Collection pendant is for you.
The fixture includes three 12" interconnecting stems, allowing for a drop of 12", 24" or 36" from the ceiling.
The glass is thick and heavy and is sandwiched between the top and bottom caps with three screws and thumb nuts, so it is adjustable to get it centered. The porcelain bulb socket was mounted crooked so the special bulb (didn't come with - not a cheap price) mounts in the fixture off center and shows. Use the short neck style bulb as the bulbs also come long neck.
I love my new light fixture. It was super easy to install and looks great!

I bought one 14 inch and two 22 inch pendants for a major remodel. When we mounted the 14 inch light the bulb, a 50w PAR 30 halogen provided by LU, was grossly off center. No other bulbs were found with a shorter neck to hide the bulb which fits exactly even with the bottom of the light. The second light shipped direct from Kichler to me. I screwed a bulb into the socket and got exactly the same gross fit....way off center and tilted 30 degrees. The review in 2007 said the bulb was off center. Today in 2010 its still off center. Stay away from this fixture if it matters to you that the bulb fits in the middle of the fixture. The 22 inch fixture has the bulbs deeply recessed behind the ring and glass, so an off center bulb is not visible.
Thick glass with a hint of green along the edge as well as good quality metal hardware. Super easy to install. They made my dining area look modern, exactly what I was hoping for and tasteful also. Everyone compliments them and I enjoy them everyday.
