In 1997 Jamie Young Jeter and David Jeter, both artists with a passion for travel, took a day trip to Mexico, where they filled their car trunk with interesting gardening pots they discovered in a roadside shop. They returned to Los Angeles and promptly sold the entire haul to a local florist. Recognizing an underserved market, they began to design and produce their own line of flower pots, only to discover that the rustic, hand-crafted quality of the pieces would make unusual bases for lamps, and with this conversion, the Jamie Young Company was born. Their love of travel and desire to understand other cultures, took them all over the world discovering ancient art forms, incredible textiles, and an overwhelming desire to create wonderful eclectic designs. They have a great niche for what is current without being trendy. Their take on designs can go from traditional, transitional to trend forward. Both Jamie and David are constantly pushing the envelope with new materials, new designs and new categories for living everyday in style. Jamie Young Co offers accent furniture
