Things you should know

The desk is a lot lighter than I thought it would be and the "no tools required" style means that you can't lift desktop sections without the legs falling off - especially annoying during construction.

Also during construction, the instructions do not tell you that the hole in the back panels - through which the cross-bar is attached - are not in the center of the panels. Because of this, it is a 50/50 chance that you will get them in the right place. If the cross-bar doesn't line-up with these holes, then you have the right-hand panel on the left side and vice versa.

The keyboard tray is okay, but it has no resistence lock when extended. Not usually too much of a problem, but read on: I purchased the wheels for this desk because, being a computer desk, I often have to get to the back of my CPU to add stuff to my computer. Problem is that this desk has 5 legs, and only 4 wheels come in the kit. This means that the back corner leg is left with the screw-out foot which cannot be extended far enough to equal the height of the wheels. Thus the back corner is lower and the previously mentioned keyboard tray has a greater tendency to slide back under the desk as you type.

I inspected the desk parts on arrival and all appeared to be well except for dents in the metal back panels - annoying but easily bent back with a hammer even though one has to put up with the attendant scratches. Once assembled, there were 4 areas on the leading edge of the desk surface panels that were damaged in transit. Again, not bad enough to send back (really) but annoying on a new piece of furnature.

Finally - CPU Holder(s). I ordered two. Okay for the average CPU but if you have a gaming machine like an iBuyPower Cool Master, it won't fit in the CPU Holders. The back of the CPU case hits the L-shaped bracket holding the desktop on before the CPU is fully seated on the holder. So, mine are holding a trash-bin on one side, and joystick parking on the other while my main CPU sits on the floor.

When all is said and done, it looks nice when it's finally put together and has a nice clear surface area when the computer is being used as a trading station.....think I'll hang on to it.
