helpBoxBurner Configuration
Most grills come with one of two types of burner configurations either conventional or infrared. Conventional is the standard and most common configuration. It lights a flamed burner that heats a cooking grate which then cooks the food. Infrared burners heat up through an infrared element that then heats a cooking grate which then cooks the food. The appeal of the infrared burner is that they reduce flare ups and vaporize any dripping to add flavor back into the food. Yet the grills with infrared burners are typically more expensive. Some grills also come with a hybrid configuration of both conventional and infrared.

Not for windy conditions or smoking

The Blue Rhino GBC 1273SP was easy to put together and no damage from shipping. I would of given this grill 5 stars if I lived in an area that has no wind and did not care about smoking the food. The first time I cranked it up to burn off all the residue, 350F was all it would do. This was due to the wind. So, I had to get a sheet of aluminum and enclose the areas that was left wide open. Also, due to the open spaces, if you are into smoking your food, forget it unless you can close up some of the areas like I did. I also made some brackets to hold a smoker box about 1/2" above the left burner, and still be able to use the grate.
Now I have a grill that is usable! It can be used when there is some wind and it will contain the smoke somewhat. For those that want to do this, there are 3 places that really need to be closed up. The front and back where the bottom pan is needs to be closed up and the back of the hood has a big gap in it that needs to be closed up. I used a 12"x36"x1/32" piece of aluminum cut up.
