I love this windmill! Came almost completely put together - just had to attach the propellers and no tools were needed! It is a decent size and I love the details. My only real complaint is the discoloration in the wood. It is supposed to be "natural" but has black discoloration all over it, so I may have to paint it. Since it will be outside, it needs to be waterproofed anyway. Well worth it.
While the windmill that arrives doesn't really move when the wind blows, it's very simple to put a longer bolt and spacers so that the blades do move around. The height and overall size was surprizing when it arrived. So many of these are small and cheaply done. Some of the older versions were made of scrap plywood! Using cedar and no laminates in this is a great idea. With care, this windmill will last for many years.
