Product Description

Available while supplies last.

Compact fluorescent lamps have become one of the most popular lamp types available. With lumen output similar to that of incandescent lamps, but only using about one quarter of the wattage, it's easy to see why. Satco's self-ballasted 3-way CFL is also environmentally friendly with its RoHS-compliant low mercury (Hg) content* and CRI of 82.

  • This CFL replaces common 30w/70w/100w incandescent bulbs in most 3-way fixtures, saving up to $8.91 per year (excluding cost of bulbs and bulb replacements)
  • Initially provides 660lm/1200lm/1600lm (up to 61.5lm/W efficacy) with an estimated yearly energy cost of $1.45 to $3.13
  • Non-dimmable

I researched it to figure out whether to get the high Kelvin temp (6500 deg.) or low (3000). The low number is closest to the spectrum of the incandescent bulb. The high temp is recommended for industrial or graphic arts applications where you need the best, true color rendition.

Not worth it, unless....

You Like Blue Light! This is a daylight balanced bulb, so it looks kind of blue at night (like daylight... ha hah!) I wouldn't recommend for, say, a diningroom fixture (like I unfortunately did), but overall a pleasant, sort of flourescent light. Recommend for those willing to take the "mixed light" risk.
