Very hard to install
By from Oceanside, CA, USA on Jan 11, 2013
This slide is very difficult to install. Once it is installed...the drawer cannot be removed from the cabinet.

pretty good

Ok so the package came on time and nothing was broken, I installed a couple of these drawer slides yesterday to replace 30 year old slides in a piece of furniture I bought used. I didn''t have any problems with the slides at all. Just with the 30 year old furniture. the slides did exactly what they were supposed to do and came with all the screws needed to install them, I just had to make modifications to the furniture since the new slides were obviously way different than the old ones.. But overall the new ones were good. there ball barring slides mounted under the drawer down the center. the ball barring move with some resistance. not a lot where it''s a problem just enough that when you open the drawer the drawer doesn''t want to come falling out. These metal slides are like a quarter of an inch thick. That is where I had to shim mine up to replace my old half inch slides. they advertise for a 14 inch drawer but what I liked is there is a "L" shaped bracket on the back side that can extend out another inch or so for mounting. My drawer was 14 inches but to mount it I needed roughly 15 and a half witch this drawer slide did. It extended out a little to help with mounting lengths. Hope this helps, I''m not a bot but a real person trying to save a buck and fix my own stuff. Oh and I''m not a carpenter by no means. just watched some videos and wanted to save some money.. Good luck.

Great Value & Quality
By from Auburn, ME, USA on Jul 04, 2012
This was a great purchase. One slide for each drawer is enough. The sliders are very smooth and sturdy. A quality product. The only issue I had was that the instructions tell you to remove the inner and outer pieces of the slide so you can install them. It took me quite awhile to figure out how to get them apart. I finally figured out that you need to ensure the ball bearings remain to the back of the outer member when removing the inner member. I had to use a screwdriver to push back on the ball bearing holder while pulling on the inner member. Once i figured out how to to that, it was simple to remove. They just don''t tell you how to do it. The other issue i have is that in the type of set up I have, it is difficult to remove the drawers from the bureau once you install them with the sliders. There is no way to hold the ball bearings to keep them from coming forward. Hopefully, I will not need to remove the drawers.

Solid drawer slide, challenging install
By from Mission Viejo, CA, USA on Jan 30, 2012
I have heavy wood drawers (only 12" deep) in an old antique dresser. The drawers previously ran on wood slides, loosely, which was very jerky. The drawers could not be opened one-handed. And since they were 12" deep, they were always threatening to fall out. I bought two of these for each drawer, but they were stable enough to only need one per drawer. Installation was just as time-consuming as any other drawer slide. That is, it takes a lot of measuring & re-measuring to get everything lined up & level before you drill your guide holes. Nothing new there, though. Once in place, the action is smooth and since they use ball bearings, these slides will probably last for years. However, there is a major flaw -- they cannot be easily released. The slide body is pressure-fit into the slide bracket using the bearings. The only way that I can figure out to remove drawers is to unscrew the slides from underneath. When you initially install the slides, you can pound the slide body from behind with a hammer & rod. But once it is all assembled and in place, it''s a done deal. You can yank with all your might on that drawer and it will not come out. On the one hand, since the dresser is in a child''s area, it''s cool that the drawer won''t come out and there''s no little clasps to pinch small fingers. But I like to be able to pull drawers out when I move furniture, so that kinda bites. Anyway, weigh that VERY important shortcoming when deciding whether to buy these. However, at well under ten bucks apiece, these cannot be beat for price.

Belwith drawer slide
By from Nor-Cal on Jan 19, 2012
Drawer slide seemed to be about the same quality as what my local Lowes carries, however, they did not carry the size I needed. A little disappointed that I had to order this rather than buy local, and the price was more than the larger ones they carried in the store. Overall, satisfied for now. Time will tell.

Easy to install

These drawer slides were easy to install and gave the drawers a sturdier feel.

Great product!
By from Topeka, KS on Jul 12, 2011
This was a great product, and I got it shipped to me for free (this length wasn''t carried in my local Lowe''s store). The only drawback was that the description was lacking in that it didn''t state it was an underside drawer slide (not for the sides of the drawer). I ended up returning the slides as I needed ones for the sides of my drawers, but I still recommend them!!!
