Still putting together.
By from Thomson, GA on Aug 12, 2016
When purchasing item there was not one put together. The one on the floor was missing a grate and I was told by the salesperson that they would not give me a discount for the missing grate and I would have to wait a week for the item to be put together. I have not been able to use yet since I have not finished putting together so I can not give a real review at this time.

Father''s day surprise
By from Columbus, OH, USA on Jul 01, 2016
My husband was on the fence as whether to get a gas or charcoal grill so I bought this model. Turns out it was perfect for our large parties and different styles in grilling. The only thing I can say that is negative is that the two barrel lids are held in place at the middle by an unsecured pin. Otherwise we are very happy with this product!

Best Value for the Money
By from Concord, VA 24538, USA on Jun 15, 2016
I have owned the sister grill to this one for 6 years. It is a gas grill with the smoker attachment. The smoker attachment is part of the reason for purchasing this grill. I built an outdoor kitchen and have been in the market for a new grill for several months. I have shopped and compared many grills and feel this is the best value on the market. I looked at the more expensive grill Lowe''s carries and love the thickness of the metal compared to the Char-Griller brand but the Charcoal side of the more expensive grill had no way of adjusting the height of the charcoal. I took my old smoker and attached it to this grill and now I have all three in one grill. Gas, charcoal and a smoker all rolled into one. Love the grill. It cooks better than any grill I have ever owned. I cook on the grill at least three times a week. Grill needs to be cleaned a lot to get long service from it both inside and outside must be cleaned and oiled down several times a year.

Great grill, poor service at Lowes.
By from Bakersfield, CA, USA on Jun 03, 2016
Very happy with the grill. However, Lowe''s was a different story. I specifically ordered the item online, requesting assembly, so I could have a grill out of the box vs. one that''s been sitting outside as a display. Unfortunately, this was not the case as they tried to give me one of the grills from outside when I arrived. Disappointed. If Lowe''s is going to offer assebly service, they should ensure the item is from a box and freshly assembled for the buyer.

We Love This Grill
By from Pasco, WA on Jun 01, 2016
The Hubs bought this grill, with the side-box smoker, for Christmas several years ago. It sat in the garage, in the box, for more than a year. He finished building the pergola over our patio, and we finally put the grill to use. The Hubs did most of the assembly work himself, enlisting my help to move it and with those actions that required three hands. We love it! We''ve smoked chickens, and I''m fixing to smoke my first brisket this weekend. We grill everything from asparagus to pizza. Using the side burner to light coals in a chimney means the coals are ready to go before the meat is at room temperature. We use the gas side less often than I thought we would. It can be tricky to get the gas side to stay at a certain temperature; if that''s what you want, keep an eye on it until you learn exactly where to set the knobs & the vents to get the temperature you want. We haven''t had any rust issues, even though we leave the grill out year-round. We live in a very dry climate; we average 8" of precipitation a year, and our climate is similar to a high desert -- hot in the summer, cold in the winter. I''ve noticed many of the complaints about rust are written by people who live in places I think of as being really humid. I bought a cover for a stand-alone swing to use to cover this in the winter. It''s heavy duck cloth, so it vents better than the plastic ones, and it''ll stand up to our frequent hurricane-force winds. It''s too big for the grill, but it completely covers it. There''s an upper rack that appears to be designed to hold buns. I''m not crazy about the way it attaches to the lid of the grill. In order to remove it, which I have to do to smoke or roast chickens upright, I have to unscrew the bolts that attach it to the lid. If I''ve forgotten - which I am wont to do - it means I have to wrangle those bolts while they''re hot. Given the light-duty nature of the shelf, it could have been designed to lift off the bolts instead. That would make it much easier! This grill is huge. Be prepared to design around it. Also, if you attach the side-box smoker, you lose the easiest way to grab ahold of the grill if you want to move it. My solution? A 4'' long 1" dowel underneath the body of the charcoal grill side - NOT the side-box - near the legs. For the price, this grill can''t be beat. At some point in the future, we may "trade up" to a better grill. This grill has a lightweight feel to it. But given that it''s worked well for the last two summers, and given our dry climate, I can easily envision this thing lasting a decade or so. And, as others have noted, some steel wool and a can of grill paint will do wonders.

Very Disappointed
By from Arizona on May 30, 2016
When I purchased this grill I believed that it might be what I was looking for, since it could be used in either gas or charcoal mode. I purchased this the day before Memorial Day, expecting to use it that next day. Once I started to assemble it, it was obvious that it had been dropped from a good height. The bottom tray, both grill bodies and the smokestacks were all bent. One of the plastic feet that fit on the legs was broken. Fortunately, since I did not have time to return it to the store and still grill as planned, I was able to beat these items back into their original shape using a wooden block, a rubber mallet, and pliers wrapped in a rag to keep from scarring the finish. I will use some super glue on the leg foot. Whether it works as advertised or not remains to be see.
