Simple Design

We chose this fan because it was larger (60") and a less complicated in design, without being too "modern". The stainless case is great, and it is a stable and quiet machine. My only complaint is the fan paddles are a little chintzy, a plastic veneer instead of real wood. Luckily, they look fine once installed.

Great Fan

Powerful but quiet fan that does a great job of moving air. We have a large bedroom with a peaked ceiling that this fan is perfect for.

Uber-expensive but does blow some air.
By from Forestville, CA on Jul 12, 2012
We needed a fan that would blow some serious air in a room with a 16'' ceiling. I mounted the fan on a 48" downrod and it works well. Reason for the four stars is that I hate manufacturers who make their products so that only their proprietary accessories will work with them. I bought a standard 48" universal downrod at Home Depot and drove the 35 miles to my daughter-in-law''s home to install the fan. I was not amused to find out that the fan requires a proprietary downrod and that a universal will not fit. That cost me another trip home and back to MAKE one, since I could not find one in any nearby store. That being said, the installation was normal (I have installed dozens of ceiling fans) and the fan does work well. It is quiet at low and medium speeds, and powerful. The highest speed generates quite a bit of wind noise, not unlike an industrial fan, but moving lots of air is what we wanted so its all good. It moves as much air at the lowest speed as the standard cheapo fans do on high. I would recommend this fan to others, but be aware that if you need a downrod other than the 6" one supplied with the fan, you need to buy one of theirs!

Fair Ceiling Fans
By from Cape Coral on Jun 04, 2012
Unfortunately, we returned both of the fans for a credit. They did not put out enough down air flow. We purchased, on line, 2 Allen Roth Fans from Home Depot. Cost more, but perform wonderfully. We would recommed the Allen Roths fans to friends and family. Jim and Judy

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

I installed two Monte Carlo Fans in my home. JUNK!! Right out of the box, JUNK!! In less than 10 days, the pull chain for the fan, hung up on the switch, and broke!! On both fans. I paid good money for the fans and top dollar for a electrician to install them. My time and money was wasted!! Will soon be throwing them away. Their 90 day warranty, is a JOKE!!!

I installed this fan in my great room with an 18 foot ceiling, it just moves the air with ease. Even on low speed it generates a nice breeze without noise or vibration.
