Speed settings
By from Houston TX on Nov 16, 2014
Wish the fan had more speed settings, having only 2 options for the bedroom use isn''t enough.

Only worked for 2 years!
By from Omaha, NE on Sep 24, 2014
We (our builder) installed this fan in our bedroom August of 2012. It is very quiet and looks nice, however I cannot even feel a breeze from it while laying in bed. 2 weeks ago, the light went out. We replaced the bulb and nothing. Now we have to take it down and buy a new fan! Not happy. Our house is only 2 years old, so clearly it has nothing to do with electrical issues with the house.

Has no reverse function
By from Berlin, MD 21811, USA on Sep 19, 2014
This is a decent enough fan for the cost until you realize that it has no reverse function. For this reason I would not recommend it. I prefer to have the "reverse" function at night because I like the air to move but not blow in my face. In the winter a reverse function is preferred to circulate the warm air. Unless I am totally missing this function in the instructions (someone please reply if I am wrong) then I stand corrected. If not then this fact should be boldly labeled on the box as I would have not purchased it. Even some of the least costly fans have a reverse function. Anyways, now I am stuck with this thing installed and am a little irate. I also agree with a previous reviewer that commented on the cheap and wobbly way the remote sits in its cradle. Can''t believe no one commented on the reverse function (or lack thereof).

Does not move air
By from Fredericksburg, VA, USA on Jul 25, 2014
Have always used Hunter fans. Wanted a remote controlled fan so I took down a 12 year old Hunter and replaced it with this one. What a mistake. It is quiet, but does not move much air. I was really disappointed and will probably end up in replacing one of the guest room fans and move that fan into our MBR.

Wanted a quality fan with a remote
By from Downstate Illinois on Apr 22, 2014
This is a great fan -- simple styling, big but not huge, good air flow, soundless except on high speed where there is a ''whooshing'' shound, and enough light for our purposes. And it has a remote! Unfortunately it''s in a grand old Victorian, and this is the only quality, air-pushing (good CFMs) fan with a remote in town. After our previous fan, with remote issues, fried itself, we swore off lesser brands. I have to placate myself with the fact the Victorians would have liked its novel 3 blades and its (barely) textured nickel lamp base. And the next people who live here can put in a new one if they want. (Or maybe we''ll just take it with us -- nice fan!) Installation was reasonably simple. The remote is funky looking but easy to use. I don''t like nano- anything, so I''m ignoring the coating on the blades. No dust is good, but I''m a fan of the precautionary principle (nano is untested, unproven).

Quiet and well balanced

Though it came with a CFL lamp we inststalled it with a LED lamp. Worrks great and it''s economical.
