Amerock BP176CAE Traditional Classics Carriage Backplate Pull

I purchased a house which has high quality kitchen cabinets from the 1970s era (oak with a rich walnut stain). The cabinets are consistent with the original woodwork throughout the home so I did not want to update the cabinetry. I did however remove a built-in corner hutch and installed a bank of cabinets in its place which provided a functional working area. I was able to match the cabinetry and stain but was afraid I would not be able to find the hardware (pull and backplate) which the existing cabinets possessed, so when I found the IDENTICAL hardware at Knobs and Hardware, I was thrilled!!

Some thirty years ago, I used Amerock hardware cabinet handles when constructing my house. I recently added a new no wiggle pull out cabinet drawer. Needed an Amerock carriage type handle with face plate and found it at The Mine site.

We purchased 42 of these pulls with backplates and we are very pleased with the quality of the product. The only negative is that for our cabinets, the wood was a tad too thick for the screws that came with these pulls, so my husband had to purchase slightly longer screws at the local hardware store. But, screws are cheap, no big deal. He had a slightly difficult time tightening the screws on two or three pulls. Perhaps the threading wasn't quite right, but ultimately it all worked well.
