Gatco Tiara Rectangle Mirrors - Pair for 72" Double Sink Travertine Vanity
By from New Jersey on Jul 08, 2017
Avid Do-It-Yourselfer
Purchased 2 Brushed Nickel Trim Gatco Tiara Rectangle Bathroom Mirrors for my Beautiful Double Vessel Sink Travertine "Silk Road" 72" Vanity also Purchased through The Mine. After much deliberation trying to match the very beautiful but complex style vanity and Kraus Waterfall faucets in brushed nickel, we decided on a simpler mirror option and these turned out to be PERFECT. First the unassuming style, simple but elegant beveled edges, the heavy duty well constructed brushed nickel mounting stands that allow full tilt front to back, and the relatively perfect width to length dimensions fit this 72" vanity perfectly - the vanity is basically divided into 3 x 24 inch sections - the center 24" is a recessed (about 2 inches lower) area that we use for common countertop storage like the tissue box, electric hand soap dispenser, some decorative stuff like candle holders. The left and right 24" sections are where the "his and hers" vessel sinks are - these are travertine like the counter top and are raised and sit on top of the counter. So we had to find the right mirrors that were high enough off the top to accomodate the huge Kraus Faucets but also had enough height and width to fill that 24" his/hers personal bathroom workspace. This size was perfect, the brushed nickel finish matched faucets perfectly, and the Tilting feature adds customization and allows for standing, or sitting on a makeup stool (wife). Fit, finish, quality is outstanding, better than expected considering price - EXCELLENT VALUE. I almost went with a pair of of Folding Tri-views for a lot more $$$. I am happy I went with this cleaner but elegant design. Great product for a fantastic price. Installation difficulty is "medium" you have to know how to use a level and tape measure - and you must use the correct wall fasteners - these mirrors are on the heavy side, go out an buy the correct screws, molly screws, anchors - based on the type of wall you have, there are plenty of videos on you tube on how to hang mirrors - you dont want these crashing down. I don't recall if I used some or none of the supplied hardware, most times supplied hardware is insufficient.. Finally, the Tilt Function, Instructions say to find the correct angle and then tighten screws (permanent) - the screws use an alan head "L" shaped tool to loosen / tighten. I keep the tool in the vanity drawer and leave the screws 80% tight so the mirrors don't flop around and bag into the wall, but not so tight that they can't with some effort be moved a little front or back. Just keep screws tight enough so they dont feel like a cabinet door (loose)

Difficult to Install and Color Off
By from Location on Apr 26, 2017
This mirror was very difficult to install and required multiple people to install and adjust. Also, the color does not correspond with the other oil rubbed bronze fixtures, it is much lighter.

Not worth it
By from North Carolina on Mar 22, 2015
Purchased this online from Lowe''s because refurbishing bathroom and needed to replace the mirror over the double sink and 2 of these mirrors fit the measurements and looked good. Installation was a total pain. Nothing was easy and the hardware worries me that it may not be strong enough to hold the mirrors on the wall over years of use, will have to see about that. Finally after 3 hours of measuring, installing, taking down to adjust and reinstalling, they are up and look good, but I never want to have to take them down. Would rather throw them out than have to go through that again.

Shockingly Poor Quality & Design
By from Denver, CO on Nov 10, 2014
The mirror looks great when on the wall. The problem is getting it there and getting it to stay there. The way this mirror mounts to the wall is terribly impractical at best, unreliable at worst. The way the mirror sits in the mounts that attach to the wall is very poorly designed, making it very difficult to adjust once mounted. Of the 8 anchors provided with the 2 mirrors I purchased, 6 failed to properly expand once inside the drywall. This, of course, did not become apparent until the mirrors had been hung for 3 months and the mounts began coming out of the wall, creating a serious safety issue. The only way that this mirror can even semi-reliably be hung is to mount it on studs, which very few walls (i.e., a bathroom) happen to have exactly where needed. Pictures are attached of the resulting damage to the wall from having to remove the mirrors and the 2 anchors that actually did work properly.

Looks Nice, but
By from NORCAL on Oct 23, 2014
This is a very attractive mirror. However, it was a bit difficult to install, and I am not 100% confident that it won''t come loose sometime in the future.

Restoration Hardware look for a 1/3 of the price
By from Houston, TX on Apr 28, 2014
Easy install. However, the mounting anchors were not strong enough to hold in sheetrock. Suggest you get 90 lb anchors bolts.

Measurements Are Not Correct
By from Baton Rouge, LA, USA on Nov 21, 2013
I love this mirror, but ordered it based on the measurements given in the product description of 31.5 x 23.5, which I assumed included the hardware. Much to my surprise when I went to install them, the hardware adds an additional 3.5-4" on the sides, so this mirror with hardware will not fit in between my cabinets. I am keeping the mirrors, but now have to go purchase flat mounting hardware to hang them (additional cost + additional time). I like the look better with this hardware, but it just won''t work. The product description should be revised to state "not including hardware" or to the correct measurements including hardware. Very disappointed in the misrepresentation.
