Attractive grille gives your bathroom a fresh look
I have a master bathroom that has a high vaulted ceiling so I bought this model for it''s 150 CFM output. I was not interested in the built in time delay and the slower speed. The instructions do not tell you that you can wire this model to run only on the 150 CRM speed by tying the black and blue wires together. I had to call Delta customer service to find this out. Once installed the fan worked like a charm and is so quiet that the amber light you see inside the grill will tell you that it is on! It should be noted that if you intend to install this until on a wall up high like I chose to do (and not in the ceiling), the damper will not work right. Since it falls closed due to gravity, you will have to remove it as it will always be open. I installed an external side mounted vent to the outside of my house that already had a damper so I did not need the fan damper. To get the full 150 CFM flow rate use 6 inch pipe (not four inch) which can be purchased at Lowes. I tried it today and there is no fog on my bathroom mirror. This fan really sucks the steam right out of the room!!
